100 letters turn round a circle, one at a time. The letter at the top is yours to take; the next four are coming up behind it. Pass, or let the timer run out, and that letter is gone for good.

Any letter you add from the keyboard. Helpers score nothing and cost points: common letters like vowels cost the most. Tap a helper on the board, then its ×, to remove it.

Letter points, minus helper costs, times a length bonus. In One Word mode every letter past four doubles your score. In Multi-Word mode longer words and streaks of words both add multipliers. The full tables are under "How to play" in the app.

Words have to be in our dictionary (about 170,000 English words), and at least 4 letters in One Word or 3 letters in Multi-Word. Proper nouns and abbreviations don't count.

On the log-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a link to choose a new one.

Yes. Tap "Play as guest". Guest games aren't saved, so your scores and history won't be kept.

Tap your avatar on the home screen, then "Edit profile".

In the app: tap your avatar, scroll down, and tap "Delete account". This permanently deletes your account, profile, and all your game history. If you can't get into the app, email support@circleofwords.app from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it for you.

No. Games you finish offline are kept on your phone and upload automatically next time you're connected.
